..Welcome to the website for Ardkeenan National School, Drum, Athlone. We hope this site will be of benefit and interest to our parents, pupils and the local community. We aim that, through our website, we will give you a glimpse of our busy and varied life here in Ardkeenan N.S.

Our School

Ardkeenan National School has stood on it's present site since 1935. It is a four teacher school (3 mainstream classes and 1 Learning Support Teacher) + 1 visiting Resource Teacher.

The school was extensively extended in 1995. It is a rural school in beautiful idyllic surroundings approximately 5 miles from the centre of Athlone.
